Fundación Kolibry Ecuador

Protecting rainforest where it matters most

Fundación Kolibry Ecuador is the heart of our conservation work in the tropics. We protect rainforest, support biodiversity research, and build long term conservation projects directly in Ecuador.

Our work combines forest protection, scientific research, and local collaboration to safeguard some of the world's most diverse ecosystems.

From our field station in the Ecuadorian Amazon, we work to document biodiversity, support researchers, and create lasting protection for threatened habitats.

Local action. Global conservation.

Our mission

To protect tropical biodiversity through direct conservation, scientific research, and collaboration with local communities. We create lasting conservation initiatives that keep rainforest standing and biodiversity thriving.

Our vision

A future where tropical forests remain intact, biodiversity is valued, and conservation creates lasting opportunities for both people and nature.

Our team

Our strength lies in our individuality. Founded by Tim L. Heller, Kolibry Ecuador brings together independent individuals who complement one another through diverse expertise, perspectives, and skills.
